Similar to a vocoder in operation. designed for effects though (although it can be used with voice) built in wavetable oscillator and noise. Carrier input, wavetable and noise seperately mixable on seperate band-groups. 18 bands devided into 6 groups of 3 (3 bands per octave). tuneable filters. Wavetable position modulateable by the first follower. seperate rez and decay for each group. keyed or un-keyed output (ADSR) keyboard split. below c4 controls the wavetable osc, c4 and above controls the carrier filters frequencies. I was trying out the X-Y joystick morphing on the standard creamware phaser, and it was fun so i made it avaliable. It is a standard effect device, so if you want to use it with MIDI you will need to use it in a midiiser or insert. The small knobs by the joystick are something to right click on to assign MIDI controllers to. It works like other morphing devices (transplanet etc) there are 2 knobs for each parameter. but they can be assigned to either the X or Y axis of the "joystick" Have fun! |

You may wonder why the harmonic numbers can not be controlled by the joystick, it is because they are integers. this means it would just step between them and not sound smooth at all. (they are not real harmonics either, they change depending on the shape of the waveform). |

most importantly! In the zip is a "micro3.pre" file it must be put in your "presets" folder. Otherwise you may get strange or even non working behaviour of the preset list. put the synth itself in the synths folder if you want it on your synths menu in 3.x Please report bugs i want to get this thing done and have a scope3 device under my belt I forgot to mention in the text. when in "comb" mode on the first filter the rez knob is backwards. (its actually the damp knob in that case) |

This can obviously be done in a mixer, but this is convenient, especially if you want to MIDI control it. Modulated with MIDI it can give some pretty drastic psycho stereo effects. or just use it for tweaking signals. Graphic is shown almost actual size! Instructions: 1> connect inputs 2> connect outputs 3> turn knob |

It is a left-rigt to "Mid-side" or "mono-stereo" converter. It translates Left and Right signals to center(middle) and difference(side) and then back again. Studios can record this way by using a mic pointed towards the source and another with a figure8 pattern pointed at right angles to it. They would not need an encoder, just the decoder. but it is handy to be able to encode regular stereo signals this way to be able to use the techniques associated with MS encoding. USE: If for instance you have a vocal or bass in the center of a mix that needs some tweaking you can eq and/or compress it without effecting the rest of the instruments as much as you would just using an EQ. or if the tails of the reverbs have an annoying frequency in them you could reduce it by EQing the side channel. There are a lot of other uses for it. If anyone has any MS recorded source could you please test this device out on it and make sure it is correct. it has only been tested with its own encoded signal. MS doeas not have anything to do with Micr! |
